This award recognizes the 33 years of career in Political Consulting by Mauricio De Vengoechea, who since 1982 has advised 16 Presidential candidates, and over 200 candidates for Constitution Assemblies, Congresses, Governorships and Mayors in almost every country in the Americas.
“I am very happy and honored to have resulted as the winner in the Reed Latino awards given by Campaigns & Elections, the most important publisher in today’s political industry,” said De Vengoechea, who is also winner of nine Pollies and two Reeds. “And to those who think that since I joined the "Hall of Fame" I'm going to retire, I have the bad news for you: I will keep on competing.”
The prize is awarded by the magazine Campaigns & Elections Mexico to prominent figures in the world of Political Marketing and Consulting who have remarkable careers and have set a standard for new generations of consultants.
De Vengoechea is currently vice president of the International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC). Previously, he was president of the Latinamerican Association of Political Consultants (ALACOP) between 1998 and 2000. He is also an active member of the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC).
