Robert Martinez creates results-driven strategies for hotels and consumer brands.

Leading communications efforts in the United States, Mexico, Caribbean and Brazilian markets, Robert serves a diverse range of Newlink clients including Coca-Cola, Oasis Hotels & Resorts, Lincoln Road and Expedia Group, among others. He conducts media trainings, secures high-level media exposure and placements in traditional and digital platforms, manages events, handles crisis communication and generates cross-promotional opportunities for his clients. Beyond his work in the tourism and consumer segments, Robert also offers strategic counsel to the firm’s clients across a variety of industries.
With more than a decade of communications experience, Robert has collaborated with a wide variety of tourism, real estate, B2B and consumer projects and accounts. Attuned to market and cultural trends, he leverages his social-media knowhow, copywriting skills, media-relations savvy and extensive network of contacts to create innovative, tailored strategies that generate concrete results.

Robert launched his career in 2005 at rbb Public Relations, the award-winning agency based in Coral Cables, where he worked on accounts that included Starbucks Coffee Company, Florida Power & Light and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.  In 2009 he joined Diamond Public Relations, a Miami-based agency specializing in luxury travel and tourism. There he focused on enhancing the profiles of such hotel brands as Marriott, Westin, Trump International and Viceroy as well as boutique properties like the Hotel Victor, Eden Roc Cap Cana and Kura Hulanda, before joining the Newlink team in 2012.
